C O M M I S S I O N S .

One of my greatest joys as an artist is being able to create for others. I welcome commissions in any size & color. Generally, all commissions operate on a 4-5 month timeline and require a 50% deposit for materials. The price of artwork is determined by size. The commission process is incredibly fluid & creative - although you're entrusting me as an artist, I also seek out lots of client input. Essentially, the process can be as involved & collaborative as you'd like it to be!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is there a minimum for commissions?

A: Nope! I want my work to be accessible at any price point - therefore there's no minimum amount or size that commissions need to be!

Q: Can I send you inspiration pictures?

A: Absolutely! I love it when clients share pictures of their home or other things that inspire them. If there are specific colors that you are trying to match in a space, it's very helpful to have images of those items/walls/etc. to work from.

Q: Will I be able to see my piece before it's finished?

A: Yes! During the creation process, I share progress pictures and allow you to share thoughts & edits. While you are entrusting the final aesthetic to me, I still want you to be involved & be a part of forming it.

There was something about Katie’s color palettes and freedom to work that just spoke to me and I knew immediately I wanted a piece from her. Through the commission process, Katie was so incredible about working with me to make sure I was getting what I was looking for, while also letting her artistic design shine through. I completely trusted her eye and was so excited to purchase one of her pieces.

My mom is someone who has just about everything and I was looking for a gift that would really MEAN something to her. Katie’s paintings are filled with so much light and tenderness and emotion, I knew there was no way she wouldn’t love it…and definitely knew she didn’t have one already. I was also searching for a gift that would recognize and honor a really important (both hard and beautiful) period of my mom’s life. Being able to commission the piece through Katie allowed me to share my mom’s story in a way that made giving the painting even more special for me because it forced me to wrap my mind around just what it was that I was wanting to say through my gift.

The piece Katie created is so special to us because it tells our story in a beautiful way that we are able to admire and reflect on each day. The painting is so dynamic that it almost seems to capture both my mom’s history and the current story she is creating in her life now. What a gift!

I have been following Katie’s work for some time and have always loved her art. When I found out we were expecting, I knew I wanted to have a custom piece made for my baby boy. I wrote to Katie and explained my heart for the painting; my dreams, prayers and love for our son. I sent her some images of the nursery and what colors we wanted incorporated into the piece.

She sent progress photos along the way, which was very helpful, and allowed me to request more colors. It was fun to see the painting taking shape and coming to life.
I was amazed at how she captured my emotions so perfectly onto canvas. It was if she was feeling what I had described; it took my breath away. I knew my son’s painting would be beautiful but I didn’t realize how truly stunning it would be in person. I am so happy we hired Katie to create this family heirloom for us. I will always treasure this masterpiece.
