Katie Watson Schermbeck, b. 1991, Raleigh, North Carolina.

Katie Watson Schermbeck is a fine artist located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her work consists primarily of abstract, acrylic paintings on canvas that have been exhibited in local galleries and private collections from New York City to San Francisco, France to Canada, and beyond. Over the past eight years, her work has been featured in print, product reproduction, and galleries. Colorful stacked shapes, perimeter lines, and vibrant fluorescents reflect Katie’s classic style of balancing color blocks with movement. Flowers, half moons, and quirky polka dots are meant to be an invitation to play and return to whimsy. Regardless of the piece, they all tell the story of turning toward Love and a fully vibrant life.

Katie currently works out of a studio within The Carter Building in the Glenwood South district of Raleigh. Visits are scheduled an appointment-only basis.
